Annual service organized and led by the Kirtland Ministerial Alliance, a coalition of civic and pastoral leaders in the Kirtland community.

Christmas Eve Service

The Christmas Eve Service is organized and presided over by the Eastern Great Lakes Mission Center of the Community of Christ.
Service begins on Friday, December 24th at 7:00 PM

Maundy Thursday Service, Thursday, April 1st at 7:30 PM

Good Friday Service, Friday, April 2nd at 7:30 PM

The sunrise Easter Service, April 4th, doors open at 7:00 AM and service begins at 7:30 AM.
Ringing of the bell at 9:00 AM

Emma Hale Smith Hymn Festival

Monday, July 12th at 7:30 PM
Temple doors open at 7:00 PM
This annual event celebrates the life and times of Emma Smith, the "Elect Lady."
Tickets may be reserved for the music festival by contacting the Kirtland Temple Visitor Center.

Hymn Festivals

Emma Smith Festival Resources

The fifth annual Emma Hale Smith Festival was held in the Lower Court of the Kirtland Temple on July 14, 2008. Nearly 300 people gathered to celebrate the life and times of Emma Hale Smith through many of the hymns she selected in the early hymnals. July 10th marked the 204th anniversary of Emma Hale Smith’s birth.

Joseph Smith Festival Resources

A festival celebrating the 200th anniversary of Joseph Smith Jr.’s birth was held in the Lower Court of the Kirtland Temple on July 19, 2005. Nearly 300 people from a variety of faiths gathered in the Lower Court of the Temple to celebrate in song.

All are invited to worship and celebrate with us in the Temple at these services.
