The Finial

Weather beaten and battered, the temple’s finial was replaced with a reproduction in 1993. Both the weathervane and temple finial are on exhibit in the museum. The original finial adorned the top of the temple cupola, a cultural symbol for a public building during the late 18th and early 19th centuries.
